Frugal Fashionista Clothing Swap is Reaching Out for Donations! See our latest video of our last clothing swap!

Banner donated by Banner Envy on Etsy!

I'm so proud to announce that the Frugal Fashionista Clothing Swap now has 1,650 members in our Meetup Group! We started out with 33 swappers and are now the largest clothing swap on the East Coast; probably the largest swap in the United States!

We are more than just a Meetup, we are a MOVEMENT!

Come take a look at our website

Sign up and attend one of our fabulous clothing swaps or get in touch to donate items for our raffles and / or swag bags! We are looking for donations that are raffle prize worthy in order to raise money for the following organizations:

  • RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network)
  • NOMORE (Anti Sexual Assault and Abuse)
  • The Polaris Group / Project (Anti-Sex Trafficking)
The Frugal Fashionista Clothing Swap has been servicing the community for over 7 years and hold one clothing swap every other month. All of our remaining clothing is donated to local domestic violence shelters and all money raised through entry fees ($10), raffle prize money and through the sale of vendor table rentals. ($35 per table)

We hold our events in two locations, both in Alexandria, Virginia and have a wonderful group of people who are now what we call the volunteer support team. They pay half price for entry and are able to choose 5 items before the swap starts! If you are interested in volunteering, please see our website and get in touch with Dianna Moy or Jean Witz. They handle all the volunteers and schedules. Dianna is my co-organizer and I couldn't do what I do without her! I couldn't do this without my entire support team! If you are among that group and are reading this- here is a giant thank you! (((HUGS)))

Raffle Prizes & Swag Bags:
Each year, at about this time, I turn to the good people of Etsy and request donations for us to use as raffle prizes as well as for small sample sized items to stuff our swag bags with. I make up about 40-50 swag bags per swap and pass them out first to my volunteers and then to the first people who are waiting in line. The items I need to fill these bags are sample sized soaps, perfumes, lotions, makeup and makeup remover, nail polish and nail decals, coupons for free items - anything small that can be sent in numbers of 45-50. You can send your business cards as well and I will also include those in the swag bags.

The raffle items can be anything really. Anything worthy of a prize, usually within the $25- $40 range. In the past we have received jewelry, purses, handmade decor, gift baskets (which are a favorite), stamped notebooks / journals, gift cards etc.

We are so grateful for any donation we receive and I personally promote the donor's websites on FB, twitter and Pinterest, along with a photo of their donation! We also promote your shop on our main meetup website along with links and pics! My way of saying thank you and making your donation help your business as well!

We get donations from all over the United States as well as from Canada and abroad (Switzerland, Australia, Britain, Spain, Germany, France) If you would like to donate to help our cause (raising funds for anti domestic violence organizations), please contact me! Your donation can be sent to the following address:

Kim Pratt
18406 Cabin Rd
Triangle, VA 22172

If requested, I will also send a tax receipt! Please drop me a note with the dollar amount and make sure your return address is legible so I can get in touch with you and send your thank you card!

I have been banned from Etsy because soliciting is not allowed and there were a number of complaints. Why people would make a complaint about such an amazing this just baffles me. They could just ignore me but the world takes all kinds. Because of this, I can no longer communicate through Etsy's messaging system so please contact me through email, phone or Facebook.

I can also be reached on FB at:

Or you may call me (Kim) at 571-931-6808 up until 7PM (EST)

Please enjoy some recent pics of our swaps as well as a video from our latest swap earlier this month!

Next up....
